What is ‘Hemaview”?

‘Hemaview' is a form of live blood analysis that helps your qualified ‘Hemaview” practitioner identify and treat your health problems faster. Using only one drop of your blood, your practitioner will use ‘Hemaview’ analysis to investigate the size, shape, associations, ratios and fine structure of the red cells, white cells (immune cells) and platelets in your blood. You will be fascinated to view your living red blood cells and white cells moving around. Seeing is truly believing!
This procedure only takes a few minutes and your practitioner will be able to prepare a ‘result of findings’ and develop a suitable treatment plan to restore any health problems you may be experiencing.
The amazing thing about using ‘Hemaview’ analysis is that you will feel your health improving and you will be able to witness the positive changes in your blood screening at each appointment.

How does a Naturopathic consultation differ from a Doctors consultation?

A Doctors consultation is usually only 15minutes. Most Doctors tend to concentrate on the symptoms of the condition you present and then will possibly send you off for tests all of which may be covered by Medicare if your Doctor bulk bills. Doctors usually prescribe medication to treat your condition.
A Naturopathic consultation takes much longer (1-1 1/2 hours). Time is taken to complete a comprehensive health questionnaire, and a full health history is recorded. Test equipment such as Live Blood Analysis, Iridology, Gut Indican, Urine analysis, Zinc test, Glucose, Blood Pressure, Anti-oxidant status, are usually done in clinic and often results are immediate.
Treatment to restore the body to excellent health is usually done via diet and life style changes and nutritional supplements, herbal medicine or homeopathic remedies.
Medicare does not cover naturopathic consultations, but rebates are available for patients who have private health insurance that includes naturopathic consultations and treatments.

Why do we ask for a urine sample?

We are able to detect subtle changes in body chemistry from this test such as infection, acid/alkaline PH, vitamin C deficiency, nitrates, kidney function, internal bleeding, liver gall bladder function, ketones, and glucose.

Are our services available for health insurance rebates?

Rebates are available on all naturopathic consultations including VLA cellular analysis & massage. Your receipt must have an item number, the practitioner’s registration number and the relevant provider number. These receipts can then be submitted to your health insurer for rebate.

How long does a naturopathic consultation take?

Obviously the answer will be different for each clinic, but in most cases first consultations will be anywhere from 30 minutes to one hour and thirty minutes.  Your first visit to Step Into Health – Wellness centre will take 1 ¼ hrs. Follow up consultations will be thirty to forty-five minutes.

Does Step Into Health – Wellness Centre offer telephone consultations?

Yes, we do encourage phone consultations especially for patients living in the country.  Contact us for more information on this service.

Where is the best place to buy the supplements we prescribe?

We encourage our patients to purchase the supplements we prescribe from a qualified practitioner who will be able to provide ‘Practitioner only” products. These supplements are supplied from companies that provide consistent quality, formulas that produce consistent results and are higher potency. It is sometimes possible to purchase a supplement that seems similar from the supermarket or health food store for a cheaper price, but when carefully compared often the ingredients are of inferior quality, more tablets need to be taken and bioavailability is questionable. This does not represent value for money.
Step Into Health – Wellness Centre offers our patients the convenience of a well stocked dispensary that includes most brands of quality ‘practitioner only’ supplement, a huge range of liquid herbs to fill personal prescriptions, homeopathic remedies, functional foods including protein powders, an extensive range of skin & body care products and non toxic cleaning products.
We also offer same day (where possible) dispatch on postal orders.

Do you regularly check blood pressure, glucose and oxygen saturation?

They will all be checked on your first visit and should they need regular monitoring we will do so at every visit.
